Blepharoplasty – upper or lower eyelid surgery. A procedure restoring the field of view and glance aesthetics.
It involves an incision along the upper eyelid creases. In the case of the lower eyelids, the incision is made 2 mm below the eyelashes. Excessive skin and fat tissue is removed. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. The sutures are removed after 7 days. Oedema resolves after about 2 weeks. The final effect of the procedure is observed after 6-8 weeks. The effect lasts for up to 15 years.
