We can model the face contour using hyaluronic acid (the most frequently used filler). The face contour modelling procedures are performed using the acid with the highest degree of crosslinking, so called Voluma. It remains in the tissues for the longest time. The procedure can be carried out after prior application of anaesthetic cream. Anaesthesia can also be applied using a fine needle. The hyaluronic acid is administered using a fine needle or a cannula (a blunt-end needle). The lifting procedure can be performed using lifting sutures and HIFU (high frequency ultrasound waves).
